First of all it’s very cheap for doing a good job at what it does. It’s very easy to clean with just soap and warm water being what we use. The aerator definitely makes our wine taste different to us, the chiller works to a degree but it still helps if your wine is already chilled!

Using for home use. I tried 3 times with chilling wine with this item. Chilled red wine…its ok. When you chill ” white wine” it doesnt chill enough. White wine needs chilled more so if you purchase this item, its fair for Red Wine Chilling only.

We were first introduced to this snazzy gadget in a restaurant. It works well but the length is too long for American sized wine bottles and results in overflow. Lesson learned.

It is just a steel pipe that you put in the freezer. It works decent with a bottle that is already cold, as it will extend the time it takes for the bottle to return to room temperature. No longer needing a tray of ice to store the bottle in or putting ice in the beverage makes the stick a very good alternative.
With a room temperature bottle, this will cool it for about 5 minutes. Kinda useless, however, I doubt this scenario is what the item is meant for.
Another concern is that I had some trouble screwing in the spout after freezing the stick. I had to run some warm water onto a napkin and wipe inside the hole to get it to screw on.

It works fine, but on some bottles the stem hits the dimple in the bottom of the bottle and won’t seat properly, thus leaking. 1/2 inch shorter would work. Hack saw or grinder should fix it.
