We gifted this to my retired mother-in-law for her birthday and Mother’s Day and she has loved watching the birds and getting the pictures sent to her. Only complaint is that the squirrels are relentless and are starting to destroy parts of it. Need to get creative to keep them at bay.

I treated my wife to a Mother’s Day gift and bought this after I saw the Bird Buddy was on backorder thru June. It came with a coupon, making it around $200 for a single solar panel. The motion detection works great and the camera takes clear, high quality photos.
I didn’t have a good place to put it and it doesn’t really hang, so we bought a 4x4x6 piece of lumber and a post stake to put it in a standalone spot. The bracket and hardware comes with it, as well as, a drill template for holes. Drilled the bracket directly onto the post and secured the bird feeder to it. Then painted the post a chocolate brown color, planted some hostas at ground level for decoration.
Wonderful addition to the backyard and the birds love it!

This is the one! If you are thinking about it but don’t know if it’s legit, I promise I wish I would have purchased this much sooner instead of being skeptical for so long. I looked around for a few months before purchasing this gift for my Grandpa. This has become his new favorite obsession! Thank God something has taken the place of his Facebook news feed! Ha! This is a legit birdhouse that works perfectly. If purchasing for elders, you will need to make sure they understand how to work a smart phone to manually capture photos and videos while live viewing. Also, they need to know how to be able to view the folder of live captures. There is a feature that allows you to pay $45 for a year of cloud storage, which removes the need for a memory card. I opted for this option, as it is very convenient. This has brought so much joy in just 24 hours. We have it about 30 feet from the house and it still reaches wifi with clarity.
As a caregiver of 18 years, I want to mention elderly people are generally lonely and this is a beautiful product to connect them to creation, nature, and it enriches their quality of life. As we get older, the simple things in life become much more special. Please consider the ones you love, who have loved you first. Get this product, install it in their yard, buy some bird food and fill it, and then teach them the basic functions of the app a few times with patience. They’ll have immense joy. I promise.

Could be a five-star product, if not for the lack of support. I LOVE my solar panel feeder! The camera clarity is really impressive (check out my pics) but I’m having a recurring issue. It goes offline every evening around the same time and comes back online every morning around the same time. It is fully charged (solar panel version) so it should still record at night (or at the very least be online). I don’t have any schedules set. I reached out to customer support every day for a week and they have been unresponsive.
