I absolutely love this toilet light. The motion detector goes off whenever you walk into the bathroom and the light cycles through a bunch of colors. So much better than turning on the bright bathroom lights at night, but more fun than a traditional night light.
Char, The (Mostly) Happy Shopper –
I bought a color changing showerhead from Amazon and because of that purchase, this popped up on my recommended items. I looked at it, chuckled to myself and scrolled on. Then I went back to it. Then I laughed again. I went about my day and forgot about it. The next day, because I had looked at it, it showed up on my main Amazon page. I clicked on it again. After shaking my head, I finally added it to my wishlist. Later that night, I told my husband about it, who also laughed. Then he said we should order it. We both cracked up and then the next day, I did just that.
It arrived and I immediately opened it up, put in the necessary batteries, made sure the toilet was freshly cleaned and set it up. It was easy and took mere seconds. I set up the light the way I wanted it based on the instructions. Then I kept flipping the light switch in the bathroom, watching this turn on and off. After I was done playing around, I walked away and didn’t say anything to anyone. Not long after, my husband went into the restroom and I heard him laughing. When he came out, he said it was actually pretty cool. I agreed. It’s a nifty little gadget that is actually more than just a novelty. I’m considering buying another one for the bathroom downstairs.

Very beneficial for entering dark bathroom/lavatory environments!
Fairly quick activating motion sensor, dim to very bright in many shades and colours,
Small and slim device, white unit requiring 3 (three) AA batteries lasting up to an extended time as well as expected, easy to mantle/install, water resistant (not to be submerged in water), overall quite a satisfying product!
Best Regards,

It’s so cute and convenient when I want to walk in the bathroom at night very grateful.

By saying I love this product would not do it justice. I would hate waking up in the middle of the night and having to turn a light on to use the bathroom or risk a mess. Getting up half asleep and all of a sudden the light is blinding you. This make that problem go away. I have mine on blue and it shows me where I am going and where to aim. Love this.

These are a great idea and work wonderfully! I usually have to make 2-3 trips a night to the bathroom and this keeps me from having to turn the light on waking me up more or disturbing my wife. Long battery life. Wish the arm that holds it to the bowl was a little sturdier but not a deal breaker at all.
Raviraj –
Didn’t initially work but I left it and now it works great. Little on the expensive side but had it for 3 months and haven’t had to replace batteries yet.
Colleen –
It worked great for around 10 months and then stopped changing colours. Only red works now, not sure why.

The only thing that you don’t think about when you buy something like this is how easy it is to pee all over it. It’s not easy to clean and it’s quite annoying to do so. I wish it was designed so it fit under the lip of a toilet when it’s available so that it isn’t so easy to urinate all over the product

Awesome buy for the money. They work like they are supposed too. The battery life is eternal. It’s been six months and I haven’t replaced them yet. My only draw back is how sensitive they are. Just walking by my bathroom triggers it, so I have to keep the door half-way shut.

So I bought two of these for when I have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. There is one for my bathroom and one for my future guest bathroom when I finally close on my new house next month. Now, I have seen too many (and I mean TOO MANY) videos of people having snakes come up the pipe lines and out of their toilets. So naturally, I have to turn on a light at night to make sure there’s not a snake in the toilet that’s going to bite me as soon as I sit down.
In case you were wondering, this little ritual makes it’s a pain to go back to sleep.
My husband made fun of me so much when he saw that I ordered these. He didn’t believe me at first when I told him about the snakes. He kept poking fun and made even more jokes when he realized I was serious.
I put three AA batteries in (which was a little difficult, but not impossible) and put the cover back on (again more work than necessary). It didn’t quite sit flat against my toilet bowl, but mine is really old and bigger than most. It worked great. I was surprised to see that the light changes color every few seconds instead of staying one solid color. You can also press the button under the sensor (which is BOTH a motion and light sensor!!) to make the light brighter or dimmer. If you hold for two seconds and wait for it to start flashing, you can choose to keep it a solid color.
I was so amazed. I thought that the light would stay on for a while, but it lasts for about 30-ish seconds. It turns on from a few feet (3-5) away and is really bright. It will also turn itself off automatically if you turn on the light switch or shine a bright light near the sensor. That is an amazing feature because it keeps it turned off during the day and saves the battery.
Well fast forward several hours after I received it. Hurricane Delta just made landfall in Southern Louisiana and at 9:54 PM, the electricity in my house went out. I don’t have a generator (stupid, but that’s not the point). Well, that means we were stuck using our phones as a light source and the one heavy duty industrial camouflage flashlight my dad got me that weighs approximately 5 lbs.
Well even though the power’s out, the water still runs and I have to pee. I walk to the bathroom and it was like angels singing when that toilet bowl light came on. I completely forgot about it. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun rubbing it in my husband’s face (metaphorically) about how I was a genius. I used the (clean, unused, straight out of the box) other one I bought for a night light for my daughter.
So I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is contemplating buying them or those who don’t even know they exist. These are perfect for snakes, hurricanes, or anything in between. Definitely the most hidden and underrated item that should be in every natural disaster preparedness kit.
