We bought these cute Dino eggs for my son’s sixth birthday. Like most little boys he is very into dinosaurs and wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up. Being able to crack open Dino eggs and pull out a variety of dinosaurs was fun for him. The only drawback is that they are very hard to chisel away so we ended out having to soak them for a while which leads to a big muddy mess when you actually try to crack them open. Make sure you cover your table with newspaper before you begin your dig! It was a fun activity to do, but probably the only Dino dig we will do until he becomes a real paleontologist. 🙂

We have bought several of these. The grandkids love digging out the dinosaurs and when done, we just pull out the hose and spray off the residue. It’s a non-staining chalk mixture. We have a “Coolcrete” pool deck which has lots of crevices and pockets. This material just disolves and sprays right off. Great Product!!!

These are little plastic dinosaurs embedded within a somewhat baked clay egg. They provide a little plastic tool with a small brush to gently and SLOWLY scrape off the clay which forms a powder that gets on everything close to it. My nearly 6 year old granddaughter was not enamored with the Slowness and the last 4 eggs we went outside and used a hammer to crack open the eggs which she liked very much; the last egg took her about 15 seconds to crack open. I understand the purpose and tried to explain that real paleontologists spend a lot of time gently removing dirt so as not to harm the artifacts/bones but she is not old enough to appreciate such.
