Pros: came on time, set up was easy if you read the directions. I love that the serving sizes go so small – this allows me to break up my cats’ food into more frequent feedings without over feeding them. It’s also nice to be able to set each feeding to give different portion sizes. The recording is loud enough for my cats to hear, as is the kibble falling into the metal bowls, but not so loud as to really bother or disturb me in the night even as a light sleeper. This container is truly foolproof – I have watched my food crazy boys try absolutely everything to get into it for more food to no avail.
Cons: I didn’t recieve the taller stilts, only the shorter ones and the dessicant package was also missing. I also wish the divider for the middle was taller, as you can see it doesn’t really provide much separation or prevent reaching over and stealing but my cats do fine with it anyways. My only other thing is that the amount going into each bowl on the split function is an even split of the portion you select, so if your pet’s have different caloric needs you’ll have to figure out how to compensate for that. For mine, I feed them both about 3/4 of their calories each day from kibble using this, and then the differences in their intakes comes from the amount of canned food I feed them twice a day. I don’t mind this at all, but it’s just something to consider if you have one pet who needs more or less food than the other.
TLDR: Overall, this is a great buy for the price. It has made a world of different for my cats who were previously constantly acting like they were starved and trying to get into and steal anything from our plates, pantry, etc. I haven’t put batteries in it to test that yet but I would trust this to function as previously set if I did because I know it saves the setting if power is off or it becomes unplugged which will make going away on trips much more convenient.

The first one I ordered wasn’t dispensing the food after I set it up for them and so I reached out to customer support and they quickly sent me a replacement device. I tried the replacement device and initially had the same issues, so I was going to return them both, but finally the mechanism to dispense enough food for my cats at the scheduled times started to work. My cats actually are really responsive to the two dishes format and they have already claimed their sides. Because of the divider, my cats feel more empowered to eat a little bit and return to their designated dish to graze on food for later. I have an obese cat who used to eat his food and our other cat’s food, but this feeder seems to give him the security to know that he can return to his dish and will still have food later. I think he was experiencing a scarcity mindset and so he used to scarf down as much food s he possibly could from both dishes and then flip them over on themselves or “bury” them to save them for later. This feeder seems to have relieved my obese cat’s anxiety about where his food lives, so I’m really happy that it worked out.
I also like that there are little sample sizes of different shaped food on the top of the feeder so you can make sure that your cat’s food is optimal size for the feeder.
Definitely test it out and make sure it’s functioning in all the right ways before taking a vacation from your cats, but this is a nice device and I think you will like it.
As of now, I’ll be returning the defective device and keeping the replacement they sent me. Thanks a lot!

Definitely worth the price. Our cats would wake us up super early every morning wanting food. Now they no longer have to depend on us for that. We were also able to take a 5 day vacation and only have a friend come check on them a couple times, vs. daily for feedings. It took me a little bit to figure out how to set the times and portions, but once I figured it out, it was easy. I monitored and adjusted the portion size over the first few days, and now it dispenses the right amount of food twice a day at my set times. Just have to fill the canister once a week, and it’s good to go!

Got this because recently I forgot to feed my cats. In all of my years of having them I have never forgotten to feed them, so of course I freaked out. I felt so bad about it, and they were trying to let me know something was up in their own way. So I made sure to look up automatic feeders so that they would never have to go through that again. And this one has been very helpful.
I never have to worry about not feeding them, just have to keep an eye on how much food is in the dispenser. They love it and anytime it goes off they run to eat. I also found a good feeding schedule so that they get their fill without overeating as cats are wont to do. We moved from a really cramped space into a giant house recently, and had an automatic feeder with a wide bowl that my cats would eat out of. I know, I know- this was not great for my cats. But this was a temporary living situation and we did what we could and they coped fine, but for many other reasons they weren’t getting along as well as they used to. We switched to this. It was not absurdly expensive, came with an extra bowl, different leg heights, and was really easy to set up and clean. My cats are happier now (probably since they don’t also have to compete for space) but it has made all of our lives easier.
