There’s an old story that floats around the mountains where I live that this little wooden squirrel is a traditional gift to be made and given as a sign of friendship, especially to someone new to the area. I love that story so much that I decided to make some of these “oven squirrels” for you to be able to gift to your family and friends.

HOW TO USE

It’s simple! Hold your oven squirrel by its tail, then pull out your oven rack with the ears and push the rack back in with the paws (see video on this listing for demo).

HOW IT IS MADE

All of these squirrels are handmade from solid wood, generally walnut, oak, cherry, maple, poplar, or radiata pine. If you have a specific wood preference, let me know as you place your order and I will try to meet your request if I have the wood available. Each piece will be hand-cut on the bandsaw, then sanded smooth.

DIMENSIONS and OTHER DETAILS

Approximate dimensions of these oven squirrels are 8.5″ long x just under 3″ tall x 0.375-.75″ thick (varies).

Please note that due to the nature of any handmade wooden product, there will be very slight variations in the dimensions, look, and feel. If you need exact measurements or more specific information, we will gladly help you if you ask!
