The material should determine cost if not workmanship. Mass produced , light material of a simple nature as this product should not cost so much. As water being cleaned can be done many ways. Yes it’s a brilliant product but it’s a fortune to make sure the family is all able to drink moderate filtration of water. With so many competitors it is silly to me to buy these at this price
