First of all, as a family with 5 cats, I really need a cat scratching post to be able to give all my cats to play with, so it needs a product that is very stable and not easy to topple over. I think this cat scratching post does it! It has a 17.7 inch diameter base, and is double layer of sturdy wooden boards stacked without cut, which is much more stable than some products that cut the bottom to reduce the size of the package, and reduces the possibility of breaking, as shown in the pictures on the detail page. And the weight of the base plate up to 5.88 pounds, when the purchase of the figures do not feel very heavy, but after the actual get really heavy, which makes me feel very relieved! Secondly, I have purchased many other cat scratching posts, so the material is more ideas, many businesses to save costs will use cheap jute rope and dye in order to visually look good, but my idea is that the dye may have a bad smell, my cat could be hurt, and sisal rope will be more resistant than jute rope. And PVC pipe would be stronger than ordinary paper tube hardness, more solid, not to mention that it is still 3.35 diameter pipe, so give a nod to the choice of materials for this cat scratching post, you can see the brand’s good intentions. Then I have to say is that the designer in order to meet the different age of the cat need to scratch the height of the column is different, to achieve a scratchable height of 31 inches, for this height and are sisal winding I am very satisfied, more practical than some of the top is a fleece style. The last thing that surprised me is that the cat tree really looks like a tree in bloom. I was worried at first that I wouldn’t be able to organize the leaves well, but it’s actually very easy to do, just watch the tutorial on organizing once. And installation is even easier, only 1 minute to install, simply for people like me who do not like to read instructions and designed! After the installation and finishing leaves, the cat scratching post in the living room or bedroom is a very beautiful decoration, which is better than any of my potted plants look good, but also do not really have to water maintenance, it is really a two birds with one stone 🙂 This is why I gave this cat scratching column 5 stars, super love! Super recommended!

First of all, the box appeared to have been opened and repackaged. Everything was included, though the item itself looks slightly used. The green ball is partially pulled apart, and pieces of the furry fabric were pulled out and shed onto the green dyed rope. The brand nameplate is glued on, with dried glue smeared across it. It looks tacky as it is, so I’ll try cleaning it or end up removing the nameplate.
During assembly I had to cut into the fabric of one of the discs because there wasn’t a hole in it for the screw. Also, note that the rope on the posts isn’t seamless. The leaves needed to be fluffed and curled to look more realistic, but that’s to be expected. Assembly didn’t take more than 5-10 mins.
This is NOT as sturdy as I expected it to be. In comparison: one of my family members spent extra for a wooden scratching post, it’s heavy and has lasted them years with several maine coons. Not sure where they purchased it, but I wanted something cheaper. It’s true you get what you pay for. I have no doubt my 8lb domestic short hair could knock this over if she runs and jumps at it, so I don’t recommend this if you have super active or large cats. The particle board discs aren’t that strong.
I was tempted to give it 3 stars, but my cat absolutely loves it and was going bonkers while I was assembling it. So, 4 stars for that 🙂

I do not like that my 11 pound cat reached up to stretch and the post began to tip over, but everything else I love. I will be placing a non slip mat underneath because the post slides around when being used, and possibly a weight to keep steady. The height is right for my cat to fully extend and I’m able to enjoy the leaves peaking through just above my couch. A nice pop of color and beautiful design. Easy to assemble and fast too. It took 3 min to open box , assemble post, and used by my cat.

i bought this thinking it may be a little too much money but noticed the good reviews about sturdiness. my crazy cat has went through so many posts that he has destroyed because all he does is hang from them and they break at the base.
he took to it IMMEDIATELY. this thing HOLDS him up mid-zoomies!!!! the second picture is him right after dangling from the top.
he literally banks off of it and dangles from it to swat the leaves at the top and it is holding up sooooo nicely.
also the leaves feel really good as well!!!
super highly recommend.

Was afraid my elderly 5 cats wouldn’t like it or use it. But they did. And each one has climbed up the pole and without it tipping or falling over, even my 15 pounder. The rope hasn’t come off yet after maybe two months, so that’s another plus. They did ignore it a day or two after initially sniffing it out. But then one started using it regularly and within 2 weeks they all were using it. It’s helping their nail sheaths to shed off much better than the cardboard scratchers. Their sheaths were staying on far too long and growing so wide it became a pain to clip their nails and have to spend extra time clipping off the wide sheaths, which wasn’t popular with the cats….they hate clipping to begin with. I also don’t miss the never ending mess of little shredded pieces of cardboard. They like the ball. I like the tree look it has and they do like climbing up and swatting the leaves. Overall and success and well worth the money.
