I am amazed with this toy. I have a 14 yr old female cat (Tippy) that I adopted at age 8 and sometimes she just wants me to turn it on and just sits and watches it but only plays with the balls in the middle. Other times she looks quite shy but then pounce’s on the toy like a large kitten. I’ve never had a toy that was this entertaining for an elderly cat. I’m not sure how much her previous owner played or interacted with her but being declawed, she’s likely to bite if she gets frustrated or angry with me or the toy. Sometimes (as described) she’ll just walk past the toy and it will turn on. Or it will come on every hour. That really amazes her. She gotten somewhat bored with the feathers sticking in and out, and instead focuses on the balls that make a jingle noise. Then the feathers will spin around and give her a thump on the head and she’s off to the races to chase that part of the toy down. This was so worth it and good exercise for a cat that used to just lay around and do nothing but eat and sleep. Batteries last a very long time with this toy (I think it takes 4 AA) She is NOT a cat genius by any means, but she loves this toy. Oh, and nothing broken yet.

My cat gives this 5 stars and I gave it 3 so we settled for 4. She loves it, the feather is random and keeps her endlessly entertained. The first one we received only stayed on for about four minutes at a time, so I contacted the company and they sent a replacement. The new one also only stays on for about four minutes, and the feather replacement option has already broken on the first toy. The remaining toy does not stay on the full 10 minutes so I get cute little baby meows asking to turn the machine back on every few minutes. I’ve tried to teach her how to press the on button, it’s not happening. The automatic timer feature does not work, in a month I’m aware of it turning on on its on twice, have set timers to check if it would turn on again and it usually does not. So the product doesn’t work as advertised but my cat absolutely loves it and I’ll be buying another one when this one breaks. One clarification – she’s a gentle tiny cat, she’s not playing rough with the machine, it’s a design problem not wear and tear.

I have always prided myself as a good cat mom. I raised my little prince to be a responsible, productive, and valued citizen of these United States. In spite of my best efforts, purchasing this product has caused an unworldly obsession in my feline child. Using batteries for wireless entertainment was incredibly convenient, but alas I would go broke spending $ on AAs fueling my fur baby’s crack habit. Fortunately, this product economically can run on electricity.
With the help and support of the public, my sweet baby buds story may prevent addiction of other members of the domestic cat community. Do not purchase this product if:
    1. You do not want your silly billy to be easily entertained for extended periods of time
    2. You have the time and energy to occupy your floofy quadruped with your undivided attention at all hours of the day
    3. You want your soft, warm, little ball of fur to continue their biscuit making business and meet their monthly quota
    4. You do not require consecutive hours of uninterrupted sleep at night because you’re happy to be wakened by your unfatigued fluff monster
    5. You have never uttered the words “this is why we can’t have nice things” because any and all household furniture is not at risk of claw related destruction

This is my public service announcement. Do not buy this product if you don’t want your adorable chicken McNugget to have the most fun they have ever had and then snooze like a sweet baby angel for hours after play. Do you know where your four legged children are and have you taught them to just say no” to drugs ? (AKA the best cat toy you’ll ever buy)

We got this toy when our cat was about 6 months old and while he needed some time to get the hang of catching the feathers, he has grown into a cat that requests we turn the toy on for him! It’s been a great toy to fulfill our cat’s hunting instinct, and when it’s not on, he still likes to play with the ball track (he actually will use the ball track to get our attention when he’s bored 😆).

The toy did break after a few months and the company replaced it with a new one as the toy was within the warranty time frame. They were very nice throughout the process.

It’s about as noisy as a printer, it’s hands free, and all of the cats play with it. My sister got one and both of her cats also play with it. Cats aged 3, 6, 7, 8, and 17. The oldest cat hasn’t shown much interest in toys with his arthritis, but likes to rub on a ball tower. Since getting this he has lunged and attacked the feather that pops out. Haven’t seen him this interested or active towards a toy in years. The 7 yr old is my chonker boy and he tends to bite and pull out the feathers so I like the fuzzy tail attachment that he can’t destroy so easily. He’s able to lift and move the toy because it’s not very heavy. But it’s pretty strudy and has stood up to his rough housing. For this reason I use it with batteries instead of the cord wall attachment. If you have a cord chewer the battery option is nice. My 8 yr old is partially blind and she likes waiting by a hole for the tail to pop out. She tends to lose toys while she’s playing and having this be stationary is good. She’s also a big fan of pushing the ball around when the toy isn’t active.

The 10 min timer is nice, we have it set to turn on during the day but the cats will also request it be turned on at various times so it’s convenient to just hit a button with my toe and they’re entertained. I keep it on the medium mode for the disabled and elderly cats. But there’s also a fast mode and random mode if you have younger or more rambunctious kitties. 😺

Overall I call this a 100% win and will be getting another one for the basement so they don’t have to fight over it. Haha.
