This is a really useful magnetic light – the magnet is a ring around the light – so when you’re trying to pick something up – you can see it! I love the light. It is telescoping – so you lengthens as you need. A terrific gift – or tool for the tool drawer! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Great for getting light to hard to see places with flexible wand. Has a magnet to retrieve hard to reach screws, bolts, nuts, etc. Bought for vehicle but nice for any project. Well made. Would recommend

I purchased this item after buying a similar magnetic probe at a Big Box store. The other magnet was double the price of this item and had a very weak magnetic. Additionally, it was too long to store in my toolbox. So I took it back for a refund, and ordered this item. It is just perfect, only 6 inches long, then telescopes to 22 inches with a flexible head. It has a strong magnet, plus it is lighted. And best yet, includes two sets of batteries. The quality is excellent. Great gift at a reasonable price.
