Not 5 stars because…It does not charge extremely fast, but it does charge what we need. The compass is completely inaccurate no matter how level you hold it. I have used both a Compass on my phone at a physical compass to verify. Since it is just an extra it is not necessary, but if you really needed it, you could not rely on it.

I mostly got this as a larger battery and I mostly use it around the house (I’m on the wrong side of the room and there’s no plug nearby!) but I thought the solar charging feature would be nice since I often don’t use it for weeks at a time, that could counter how long I need to use it.
Well, first off, it doesn’t have a way to see how charged it is. There are some indicator lights, but they’re hard to understand (no instructions here!) and when charging they just indicate “charging” not how much you’ve charged.
The first thing I did was drain it and stick in near my window. Not the best light source, but it was charging for about a week…. and it didn’t really charge anything. This implies that even having it on the outside of your backpack while hiking wouldn’t be enough to “top it off”, which is even less than advertised (it does say that it probably won’t be charged solely from solar, but I was expecting more).
Other features: rubbery outside you can probably do whatever with it and it won’t be easily damaged. The power button for the flashlight is hard to find and hard to press, and annoying since it cycles through multiple modes. There’s a compass on the back, but it has issues mostly pointing to “northish”. I think the internal charge confuses it and there might be poor build quality that’s preventing it from spinning as well as it should.

I bought this gadget as a secret exchange present. I ended up not going to the party. So, I decided to keep it. I love it. Solar Charge, just leave it at my window sill, or if traveling in the front of the car. It charges during your trip and you can use it at night for a long period. I have not used it longer than 3 hours at night, so I’m not sure how long it will stay on, but I’m able to read, charge my phone, and use the light all together with no problems. It ready is a nice thing to have. I do have a portable charger but you need to connect it to charge, and if you are not around any outlets you are in trouble.

When you buy a charging bank for periods away from a charger at home you expect it to hold its charge. This unit has a solar panel to allow charging on the go which is why I purchased it. Two days after it was fully charged I left the house with the expectation of using it when my phone’s charge became low. Not only did it lose it’s charge but I had to continually press the power bank’s ON button, and then it only charged for about five seconds. Dreadfully disappointed and frustrated because I was suckered in to buying this product believing it would work for me. In all fairness it was charged two days prior to using it and the morning I left home it sat near the window getting plenty of light. The charge indicator showed a full charge. All I can say is its a good thing we came back early. I would not destroy the packing as you may need to send it back. I won’t because it isn’t worth my time or gas to drive into town to ship it back.

The customer service was very fast and I had a new one in a week.
I charged it overnight for 10 hours, then put it on my half full Samsung A32 5g. It gave me a slow charge warning. I left phone on charger for 8 hours, phone was at 3/4 charge. So it gave 1/4 battery charge in 8 hours. More than enough to make emergency calls.
I bought this to hang on my back pack as emergency backup.
