I purchased this Hoverboard for my daughters 10th birthday and she hasn’t gotten off it yet. I really hadn’t seen or heard of the hover boards so when I went online to order one, I was blown away at how many there actually were and where I had thought I would be ordering one in minutes actually took me about a week or longer. I had no clue about the safety issues they had had in the past and so that had me a little worried about making sure I picked out the perfect one that she could wear out the wheels and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything happening to her. It seemed like the Tomoloo brand was at the top of all my searches and I don’t think I ever read one bad review. And I read hundreds and hundreds of reviews. There was an occasional complaint about pairing the lights/music or rather not being able to, but that’s nothing in my book because that usually boils down to “operator error” of some sort. The Tomoloo brand was also always in the Top 5 of every search I had done for safety. And the government site they have For consumers to check out how reputable a certain brand or dealer and whether or not that particular one your looking at is certified. And the Tomoloo brand just seemed to be glowing with praises and how they were one of the Number 1 rated for safety and have been since they launched there hoverboards. So it was a no brainer on what I was getting my 10 year old daughter. And the fact that these hover boards have Bluetooth and lights that seem to be able to do anything was the most awesome perk ever!! We received it in the mail only 2 days after ordering it and it was so user friendly. We charged it and she got right on it after reading the instructions and was prepared to fall a few times until she could get the hang of it, but instead she sailed on it with absolutely no difficulties whatsoever. Her older brothers however refused to read the manual or listen to there little sister explain to them how it worked and they got bucked off on there butts. So evidently reading the manual is encouraged and obviously spot on. My daughter hasn’t gotten off that board since opening it and that includes riding it throughout my house. It seems to go forever on 1 charge and she has ridden it up some pretty steep hills which were both paved and dirt and she had absolutely no problems. The speed/power was the same which I wasn’t surprised with this brand because everything has been exactly as described if not better! The lights are mesmerizing, I was worried about them maybe being dim/dull or even being fun in the beginning and then just annoying people completely. But it’s the exact opposite. Everyone that sees her out riding stops just to watch and see what song and light shows coming up next. I’m pretty sure every kid in town will be ordering one before the months up just cause they absolutely love hers. This was the best gift she could of gotten and worth every penny. She is definitely the happiest and proudest girl in town and it’s all because of this hover board!, I would of payed more just for this brand after all I read while researching the hover boards just for piece of mind due to safety. And I would recommend this hover board to anyone and everyone I know.

Arrived damaged with the cover retaining screws over tightened so the cover screw holders are snapped and the cover is hanging off.
This was obvious before we had taken the board out of its packaging so clearly lack of basic QC checks.

I frankly hadn’t expected the hoverboard to be working for such a long time – it’s been almost 3 years since we bought this, but I’m truly impressed by how well its functioning. My son has grown several inches since we bought this for him, but he still loves ‘hovering’ around on this little beast. Sturdy, well built — and we absolutely love the led lights especially when my son uses it in the dark and on dimly lit streets. I highly recommend this model to anyone looking for excellent quality hoverboard.

Black version arrived broken twice for birthday gift, sister has the pink one which has been wonderful without issues (except charger broke but found even better replacement charger on Amazon), so ordering a green one now for belated bday and hope it arrives in one piece. The pink one works well in all terrain (grass with tree roots, gravel driveway etc). Great product as long as it arrives in one piece!
