This 9 gallon to Biorb is very beautiful, very eye-catching and the fish I have in it I love it as well. I have 5 fish, one Cory catfish and one Nerite snail.
They all seem to be comfortable in there environment, I didn’t want to overcrowd.
Are use only Biorb decor and products. I also bought the plug on the top to cover the feeding hole so my snail can’t escape.
It is very easy to set up and maintain. I use a heater since my fish are tropical, even my Koi Betta enjoys having the heater. They need it.
It’s a nice size, my favorite one out of the collection of biorbs.
Please make sure you cycle your tank if you’re new to fish go on YouTube and get educated on the nitrogen cycle. If you just throw your fish in first day they will die. You can also add prime and stability by seacam daily until your tank is cycled, that’s another way of going about it.
Enjoy!

This tank is perfect! It’s a very easy set up. The motor is quiet. It’s also so beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice.

The transformer does not come with the round plug attachment for Australian power plugs. I ordered the transformer directly from ebay (aquacadabra) and specifically asked them to check for the round attachment, after they assured me it did I received after paying over $93.00 for product and shipping from UK a fully sealed box and when I opened it there was NO AUSTRALIAN power plug attachment. They simply don’t come with the round attachment as shown in the photo. They only have four attachments not five. Why sell the product at all if you can’t even operate it.

Bello da vedere, non ingombra, fa poco rumore, peccato che non si riesce abbassare l’intensità di led… Resto mi piace tutto ! Facile da gestire.

Beautiful way to show off your gorgeous fish or enjoy watching them while you’re relaxing. The controller works great (better than the one I received with my 5 gallon orb style) and will turn both aquariums on/off and adjust the lighting all at once. I have a male betta (I got lucky and have a very sweet, curious little guy who loves watching his tank mates), some panda corys, and a small school of White Cloud Mountain minnows in this aquarium and my water parameters have been holding steady and the water is crystal clear.
Plants have been growing REALLY well, too. I have some potted and some super glued (gorilla glue is safe to use in aquariums) to cholla wood/driftwood so I don’t have to worry about a plant-friendly substrate causing issues with filtration.
There is some noise from the filtration/bubbler, but I personally find it relaxing and haven’t had any issues even with it in my bedroom.
As a longtime migraine sufferer I was pleasantly surprised that the light green light set medium-low actually doesn’t bother my eyes much even when I’m really light sensitive, too.
Definitely incredibly satisfied with this purchase. Compared to other filters I have in my standard glass aquariums, this tank has been blowing them out of the water (pardon the pun).
My fish are happy and so am I 🙂

Looks nice, light is great, air pump is fantastic, seeing the bubbles go up.the center tube. Came with plenty off bio gravel. Currently waiting to put my fish in the new tank – set up says 24hrs.
Tank magnifies so you see your critters better

I love this aquarium; I think the beautiful design, easy set-up and attention to detail(clear steps and instructions) make it a winner for novice fish owners.

I really hope they make a wider bio tube aquarium in the future. This is about eight gallons. I would love one about the same height but 28” wide instead of the 16”. It would be perfect for me. My fish could use a few more gallons. Would also like a clear top.
My fish seem to be more active in this tank. I am pleased overall.

Der Filter oder die Pumpe hat die Lautstärke eines Kompressors,es ist aus Plastik .
Das Licht ist extrem hell und kann leider nicht reguliert werden .Bei diesem Preis hätte ich mir eine Fernbedienung erwartet.

Let me preface this by saying I have no experience with fish tanks except for a $5 basic one when I was a kid. Fast forward (many) years and we were gifted with a few guppies. After seeing that they all survived and the interest remained high for a month, I bought this.
I chose this aquarium primarily for it’s looks. I have a small apartment and knew this would be in a high traffic area and wanted something that didn’t look so clunky. I was impressed with this aquarium kit. I like that it came with everything, including the ceramic media (fake rocks) for the bottom, and a lid for the top. When I say it came with everything, I do not mean the decorations–the 2 pink biOrb fake plants were bought as a pair and the white biOrb sea lily and airplane were purchased separately as well.
I read a LOT of reviews before I decide to buy about anything, and this was no exception because I didn’t know what I would need. One reviewer suggested the 2 packages of ceramic media was not enough. I’m not sure, but maybe they were building something grand in there because I thought it was plenty. I also read someone complain that it was loud. This thing is QUIET, I promise you–but make sure you don’t have the pump against something that could make it rattle. Basically, just keep the rubber feet on it or use a stick-on felt pad. The instructions that came with the biOrb were clear, and the whole setup took maybe 10 minutes, the longest part being rinsing the rocks.
I opted for the biOrb plants because I’m foolish and thought they are somehow superior. Maybe they are. But they look about like any fake aquarium plant to me–weighted at the bottom a little so you can bury it and that’s about it.
Lastly, I know you’re supposed to prep your tank for weeks (months?) before adding your fish. Well, I didn’t because that seemed excessive for fish that aren’t fancy. The biOrb came with a water conditioner and a bacteria packet that you put in a day before adding the fish. I did that and none of my cute lil’ fish seemed to have any problem (in fact opposite since they started giving birth :/ right after).
I know some of you who are super knowledgable will roll eyes over this review probably because I picked the tank for the wrong reason and didn’t do all the fancy show fish things you’re supposed to. However, for anyone looking for a nice quality smallish acrylic tank that comes with everything, does a great job filtering, and is an attention-grabber, look no further. I also set up the maintenance kits on Subscribe & Save to make it easy!
