This is a digitally rendered Geologic map (printed in 2D (*)) of the United States, derived from a map published by the United States Geological Survey of 1932. Digital Elevation Data (DEM), obtained from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission is processed and digitally rendered to create a highly detailed elevation profile (printed in 2D (on a flat surface) – note: these prints are NOT raised relief maps).
Prints are available in various sizes. As these images are high resolution renders with a high level of detail, large prints on professional photographic paper, metal or acrylic are available and provide stunning results! (**/***/****).

*** If you order a print on HD Metal (which looks beautiful!), please allow for for 7-14 business days processing time. Metal prints come with a mount for easy hanging (so no frame necessary!). Note: HD metal prints have a glossy finish.
**** The legend on vintage prints are usually printed in smaller print beside the image. While the legend is visible on each print, please note that when ordering smaller size prints, reading glasses or a magnifying glass might be needed to read the legend text.

The image is beautiful don’t get me wrong but sadly to words were such tiny print it’s almost impossible to read it. My husband is a geologist so would have really enjoyed being able to read the key so that was a bummer. The shipping was crazy fast and the seller was very kind to make sure I understood it was a 2-D print.

Hi Alexandria, thank you for your feedback! The legend on these vintage style prints is usually relatively small compared to the image of the map. While the legend is legible on each size print due to the high resolution of these prints, one would sometimes need reading glasses or a magnifying glass on the smaller print sizes (i.e. 19 x 13 inch prints and below).
