This hooks onto the lip of the sill and allows me to close the window and still leave room for Max to enjoy the whole area of the seat. It is easy to install and is very stable. The one I had previously had to be placed in such a manner that the window closed down on part of the seat making for much less room for the cat. It also required total removal when I wanted the window closed and locked. Max took to this immediately and spends hours sleeping and neighborhood watching. I highly recommend purchasing this product.

He can now lounge and watch the wildlife. This was super easy to put together… a couple screws and adjust the wall support and bam! You’re done.
I didn’t want a hammock that had suction cups to the windows. My cat is a larger boy and I didn’t want the risk of it falling. Plus he’s a rescue and is scared of something (I believe from past abuse) so I didn’t want to traumatize him more! This hammock is very easy to set up and sits very nicely in my window. I don’t have a frame around my windows so it sits flush against my wall. It also fits nicely when I close the window. It’s sturdy enough for my big boy (approx 20lbs) to jump from the hammock to the couch, or onto it from a distance. There’s rubber stoppers on the wall support so it doesn’t move when he’s jumping from it.
The fur cover is soft and unzips for a mesh hammock. No downtime when needing to wash the cover!
I purchased the medium size hammock. I wasn’t sure if it would be too small since he’s a larger cat but he fits perfectly. Also I didn’t want something too large where the window wouldn’t close.

Have two cats, and recently moved from a high-rise in the city to a house in the suburbs. Our apt had wide sills for the kitties to enjoy the sun and the view, the new place in the suburbs has near to no sill on the windows. Had low expectations for this product, but boy was I wrong! On on here right now to pick up another couple of these, as the cats are constantly evicting each other from the hammock, and with all the activity outside the windows now that we live near the ground, where the Hammock is installed is the center of their day. I’ve yet to find a window it won’t clip securely to, or that couldn’t be closed over the clips.

I was a little worried about whether or not she’d like it since it smells plastic-y when you take it out of the box, but apparently that doesn’t bother her at all. It also feels very stable.
It was very easy to put together; took me less than 5 minutes from box to first use. The instructions were simple. And it comes with an allen wrench so you don’t have to go dig out your tools.
I would highly recommend this for your cat if they enjoy looking outside, and I will absolutely be buying another one!

This product seems to work as it is described. 2 things:
1. I did not realize that the part where Kitty sits is not solid….it’s just the fabric material with velcro to keep it fastened. So if you have a super hefty one….not sure how it will hold up. Sometimes when my chonky one moves around on it, and I can hear the velcro fasteners making noise….makes me a little nervous.
2. It didn’t quite work on my window because I have a frame around it that has a thicker portion and a less thick portion underneath. So, right where the edge of the post hit my window frame was on this section that changes depth. As a result, it didn’t clamp on securely and Kitty actually made it fall off the window frame when she jumped on it. My hubby fixed it by cutting out foam pieces and wedging the foam pieces underneath to make up the depth difference on the window frame. It seems to be holding pretty securely now.
Overall, it’s a pretty good product, and does what it says it will do for the most part. You just need to have a specific kind of window.
